Policy - Pro-Rata Payment Of Annual NZWG Membership Fees for New Members

There are two subs years, from 1 January-31 December and 1 July-30 June.
When a new member joins up to two months after the beginning of the subs year they pay full sub.
When a new member joins one month prior to the beginning of a new subs year, they are signed into that new year ie receive one month’s free membership.
When a new member joins between two and five months after the commencement of the subs year, the sub is paid on a pro rata basis ie 1/12th is deducted for each of the missing months.
The $60 joining fee is still required.

Month

1 – 2 (Jan-Feb or July-Aug) Pay full sub

3 – 5 (Mar-May or Sept-Nov) Deduct 1/12th of annual sub for each month lost

6 (June or Dec) Join the next year’s intake

NB: Add $60 joining fee to each of these figures (unless the applicant is transferring from institutional membership when the joining fee is waived).
