The Animation Matchmaking Series is a free cross-guild initiative across August designed to spark creative collaboration and strengthen your next NZFC funding application.
In 2025, NZFC announced $500,000 ring-fenced for animation through the relaunched He Kauahi Catalyst Fund. This builds on NZFC’s growing support for animation, including other initiatives such as the Annecy International Animation Film Market (MIFA) presence earlier this year.
Now is the time for animators, writers, director and producers to connect and create before the next round opens in September–October 2025.
